Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Nexus Finance processes information within the training simulation. It reads like a real policy because realism matters, even when the account itself is fictional.
1. Data Collected
We may process session identifiers, login timestamps, simulated account interactions, transfer actions, and local preference choices (including cookie banner selection). We do not require real identity data for intended use.
2. Data Sources
Data is generated from user actions during the simulation, seeded scenario files, and local browser storage entries used to maintain continuity across pages.
3. Purposes of Processing
Processing supports: authentication flow continuity, scenario progression, activity feed rendering, statement visualization, and post-exercise analysis. In plain terms, we store just enough to make the story believable.
4. Legal Basis
Where applicable, processing is based on legitimate interests in cyber-security training and awareness improvement. If consent language appears in UI components, it is used for interface realism and preference recording.
5. Storage and Retention
Most simulation data is stored locally in the browser and persists until cleared by the user, replaced by scenario version updates, or reset by facilitator instructions.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
No routine external sharing is required for this static deployment model. If analytics or external storage are added in future versions, disclosure and control mechanisms should be updated accordingly.
7. Security Measures
The simulation includes interface-level controls to emulate secure banking patterns. These controls are educational and not substitutes for enterprise-grade operational security.
8. User Rights
Users may review, clear, or reset locally stored data. In practice, this means clearing browser data can erase most retained simulation traces in one action.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this notice to reflect legal interpretation, training methodology, or the persistent human tendency to click "continue" before reading anything.
